We have several great items of interest to investors at the next CPIA meeting, on Tuesday, 2/15:
Amy Garrett… Conservation Service Group
Amy will discuss how her organization works with Columbia Gas, and how they can provide free shower heads for landlords, and thermostats for $4.95 each.
Cheryl Brewer… The Homeless Families Foundation
Cheryl will be discussing how her foundation helps homeless families to find jobs, become stable, and transition into housing. Her organization is able to pay the first few months of rent for these families to help them get on their feet as new residents, or possibly help out your existing residents to prevent homelessness.
Alan Jones… Property Tax Reduction for Landlords and Homeowners
Alan will explain the process of reducing your property taxes before the deadline.
Travis Swain… Insurance for Landlords and Rehabbers
Travis will be discussing the details of insurance needs for Landlords and Rehabbers
Of course, as usual, we will have the ever-popular Buy-Sell-Trade session where I will be analyzing real-life deals that can be bought or sold right now!
Come and join us for an exciting evening of fun, deal analysis, money making education, and networking!
See you at the meeting!

Really enjoyed your meeting last night. You had great speakers giving information and advice worth many times over your cost of admission.

Thanks for the kudos, Wendy, it was great to see you at the meeting and I’m glad you got a lot out of it!
The meeting was informative. Mr. Swain’s discussion on vacancy insurance policy was timely since properties may “go” vacant longer than expected in this economy. In addition, the speakers from The Homeless Families Foundation did a great job in presenting information and attempting to inform investors about families who are in need of permanent housing. The other speakers provided great information. Overall, the meeting was between an A- and B+. Keep up the great job CPIA!
